Assistant Professor

A. Prakash is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering with over 10 years of combined teaching, research, and industry experience. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. (Full Time) at Pondicherry University (Central University) and holds an M.Tech in Networking and a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College, Pondicherry University.

He has more than 7.5 years of teaching experience, having served at reputed institutions including Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College and Acharya Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. His teaching expertise spans a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as Internet of Things (IoT), Data Structures, Distributed Systems, Compiler Design, Theory of Computation, Embedded Systems, Cloud and Big Data Analytics, Information Security, and System Software, consistently achieving excellent academic outcomes.

His research interests focus on Internet of Things (IoT), Edge Computing, Data Reduction in IoT Systems, Distributed Computing, and Smart Infrastructure Applications. He has published research papers in IEEE and SCI-indexed journals and conferences, holds two published patents, and has actively contributed to real-world IoT solutions, including smart campus systems and industrial monitoring applications for sustainable development. He has also established an IoT research lab and generated large-scale real-time sensor datasets to support experimental research.

As an academician, he has taken on various key administrative roles in department level and school level. Through a strong commitment to teaching, research, and student mentoring, he continues to contribute to advancing innovative computing solutions and fostering industry-ready graduates.
