The fellowship is intended for researchers who have completed their Ph.D. and have a track record of conducting globally competitive quality research in various domains.
Qualifications & Experience
- Ph.D. with First Class or equivalent in the preceding degree and a good academic record throughout.
- Candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis can also apply by providing proof of thesis submission.
- The candidate's competence to conduct research must be reflected through his/her publications and/or patents.
- The researcher should be an Indian citizen.
- The researcher should not be more than 45 years of age as on the last date of application.
- The selected fellow will work under the guidance of a senior Professor.
- The supervisor should be serving as a full-time faculty member of Dayananda Sagar University.
Duration
One-Year Fellowship
The duration of the fellowship is one year. An extension for an additional year will be considered after evaluation.

Research Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting research work under the supervision of a Professor or Associate Professor.
The fellow should also be able to help in other relevant projects as required by the school/centre.
Progress reports regarding the research work conducted and research outcomes must be submitted to the research office in time.
Monitoring of Fellowship
Six-Monthly & Annual Progress Reports
Regular monitoring of the fellowship is carried out on the basis of six-monthly and annual progress reports submitted by the scholar in the prescribed format.
Research Presentation & Appraisal
The research office may arrange for mid-term or annual presentations and appraisal of the research work.
Research Publications
During the fellowship, the fellow is required to patent and publish at least two research articles in peer-reviewed research journals on the theme of the research undertaken.
DSU Affiliation
In all patents and publications, the Dayananda Sagar University affiliation must be included in the proper format approved by the research office.
Publication Requirement
Minimum Two Research Articles
The fellow is required to publish at least two research articles in peer-reviewed research journals during the fellowship on the theme of the research undertaken.
Patents
The fellowship requires the fellow to work towards patenting relevant research outcomes.
University Affiliation
Dayananda Sagar University affiliation must be included in all patents and publications in the format approved by the research office.
Research Outcomes
Progress reports regarding research work and research outcomes must be submitted to the research office within the prescribed timelines.
Requirements on Completion of Fellowship
- A book-length final report along with a summary of the report of 3000–4000 words and two research papers published in peer-reviewed journals on the theme of the research undertaken.
- The documents must be submitted in both hard copy and soft copy.
- Every final report must be checked for plagiarism before submission.
Plagiarism & Similarity Index
Fellows are required to get their final report checked from the University for Similarity Index and attach the report at the time of submission.
As a policy, Dayananda Sagar University does not accept reports that have similar contents beyond 10% on Similarity Index.
