Mr. Ashish Raj is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with a strong academic foundation in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, and DevOps. He completed his M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Agartala and earned his B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Lovely Professional University.
His research interests include Natural Language Processing, Low-Resource Language Technologies, Deep Learning, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Intelligent Systems. During his postgraduate studies, he conducted research on Low-Resource Maithili Text Summarization, exploring transformer-based architectures, multilingual language models, and custom encoder frameworks to improve NLP applications for underrepresented Indian languages.
Mr. Raj possesses strong programming expertise in Python, C++, SQL, Data Structures, and Algorithms, along with hands-on experience in Machine Learning, DevOps practices, containerization technologies, and modern AI frameworks. He is passionate about promoting coding excellence, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students through practical and application-oriented learning.
Beyond academics, he has gained valuable exposure through cyber security training and the Gurugram Police Cyber Security Summer Internship, working in areas such as digital forensics, cyber investigations, and threat analysis. A GATE-qualified professional, he remains actively engaged in AI and ML research while inspiring students to innovate, learn, and excel in emerging technologies.
