Ms. Bhagyalaxmi S Banakar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of CSE (Data Science) at Dayananda Sagar University (DSU), Bengaluru. She holds an M.Tech in Data Science from M S Ramaiah Institute Of Technology, Bengaluru and B. Tech in Computer Science And Engineering, from the Government Engineering College, Haveri.

Her academic and research interests lie at the intersection of machine learning, deep learning, LLM models and the Natural Language Processing (NLP). Her recent research focuses on estimation of yield price prediction using machine learning models, where she proposed a hybrid predictive model for accurately forecasting crop yield using historical agricultural data. By leveraging advanced machine learning techniques, the model will provide actionable insights to optimize agricultural strategies, enhance food security, and support economic planning for farmers and policymakers

Ms. Bhagyalaxmi S Banakar has also worked as data Science Intern at Zebra Technologies where gained hands on experience on Power BI, Big Query, CI/CD pipeline, GitHub actions, GCP.

Ms. Bhagyalaxmi S Banakar has also completed a certified Power BI Program with Microsoft, gaining hands-on experience in data visualization like creating dashboard and writing the DAX queries. Her broader technical expertise includes Python, SQL, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Power BI, Tableau, Pandas, and scikit-learn, EDA, MLops.

At DSU, Ms Bhagyalaxmi S Banakar is committed to student-centred learning, mentoring data science research projects, and promoting interdisciplinary innovation to address real-world challenges.
