Ms. Dinah Ann Varughese
Assistant Professor
Ms. Dinah Ann Varughese is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SoE at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. She completed Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kerala, 2009, and a Master of Technology in VLSI and Embedded Systems, TocH Institute of Science and Technology, CUSAT, Kerala, 2011.
She has over a decade of academic experience, having served as an Assistant Professor from 2011 to 2021, contributing extensively to teaching, student mentoring, and academic development. From 2021 to 2025, she pursued her doctoral research as a Research Scholar/Teaching cum Research Assistant at VIT Vellore. Additionally, during 2022–2023, she served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Micro and Nanoelectronics at VIT Vellore.
Her areas of specialization include Edge Computing, FPGA synthesis and implementation using Xilinx Vivado and Verilog HDL, digital system design, and hardware simulation using ModelSim. Proficient in Python-based machine learning and deep learning, with a strong focus on training and evaluating CNN models for AI-driven image and medical data analysis.
Her research interests extend to the development of innovative pooling algorithms aimed at improving classification accuracy, particularly in medical imaging applications. She has published her research work in reputed IEEE and Springer Nature journals and has also authored two conference publications.
