Dr. Bahubali Shiragapur

Professor, Computer Science & Engineering (AI & ML) & AI-First Team member

Dr. Bahubali Shiragapur obtained his Doctorate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, in 2020. He has over 23 years of teaching, research and administrative experience in various capacities, including Head of Department, Head TBI and Director, at reputed institutes and universities. He is currently a Professor in the Department of CSE (AI & ML) at Dayananda Sagar University, Bangalore, and a member of the university's AI-First team. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Quantum Computing, Brain computer Interface, RF & Signal Processing Cybersecurity and AI in Healthcare.

He has delivered several invited talks and conducted workshops in India and abroad. He has published papers in peer-reviewed national, international journals, conferences, has authored books and book chapters. He also holds several patents and copyrights as well. Under his guidance, several research scholars have been awarded the Ph.D. degree.

He is a member of several professional bodies, including the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and the International Association of Engineers (IAENG). He is also a member of the BOS, BOM and Academic Council of various universities and autonomous bodies.
