Dr. Manish Kumar Mishra
Assistant Professor
Dr. Manish Kumar Mishra is a Mechanical Engineering academician, researcher, and academic innovator, holding a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, with expertise in Water Resource Management, Hydraulic System Fault Diagnosis, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Dynamics, Robotics, Mechatronics, and Engineering Simulation.
His doctoral research, “Computer Aided Analysis of Pipe Network,” focused on computational analysis of complex water distribution networks, leak/fault diagnosis, algorithm development, optimization, MATLAB, EPANET, and ANSYS Fluent. He has contributed to SCI/Scopus-indexed journal publications, international conferences, and book chapters covering water pipe networks, hydraulic systems, computational methods, machine-learning-based engineering analysis, materials, welding, and mathematical modelling. He has contributed to multiple patents, including Blockchain for 5G-Enabled IoT for Industrial Automation, IoT-Based Digital Water Analysis and Monitoring Device, and Heavy Load Self-Stabilizing Cargo Bed, demonstrating an application-oriented approach to engineering innovation.
A key professional contribution of Dr. Mishra is the integration of Artificial Intelligence and emerging digital technologies into Mechanical Engineering courses and curriculum. He promotes the integration of AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, data-driven problem solving, computational tools, and real-world engineering applications into teaching, student projects, and course delivery. He also incorporates the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (NVIDIA DLI) ecosystem, including Generative AI & Large Language Models (LLMs), Computer Vision, and accelerated computing, as complementary technologies for engineering education. This approach connects core Mechanical Engineering concepts with AI-enabled design, simulation, optimization, automation, and intelligent decision-making.
He has served as IQAC Coordinator and Project Coordinator, contributing to academic quality, innovation, workshops, conferences, industrial training, and student development.
