Dr. Manjodh Kaur
Assistant Professor
Dr. Manjodh Kaur is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry, School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru, India. She earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar, Punjab, India. She obtained her M.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry from Panjab University, Chandigarh, and graduated as a Gold Medalist in B.Sc. Chemistry from Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, Punjabi University, Patiala.
Dr. Kaur has extensive international research experience spanning academia and industry. She has worked as a Researcher at CNRS–LEPMI, Grenoble, France, where she focused on alkaline anion exchange membrane fuel cells and hydrogen oxidation reaction catalysts. She completed postdoctoral research at the University of Pittsburgh, USA, and the FAMU–FSU College of Engineering & National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, USA, working on electrocatalysis, advanced energy materials, MAX phases, and MXenes. She also served as an Analytical Chemist at Heirloom Carbon Technologies, California, USA, contributing to the development of direct air capture technologies for CO₂ removal, and previously worked as a Research Associate at JNCASR, Bengaluru.
Her research integrates computational and experimental approaches to accelerate the discovery of next-generation energy materials. Her current interests include computational materials science, materials informatics, artificial intelligence and machine learning for materials discovery, density functional theory (DFT), multiphysics simulations, nanomaterials, electrocatalysis, photocatalysis, hydrogen production, fuel cells, AEM electrolyzers, CO₂ capture, and sustainable energy technologies.
Dr. Kaur has authored 27 research publications (20 journal articles and 7 conference papers), with an h-index of 13, i10-index of 15, and over 470 citations. She has presented her research at numerous national and international conferences across the USA, Europe, the Middle East, and India. She serves as a reviewer for several leading international journals in materials science, nanotechnology, and energy research and is committed to advancing interdisciplinary research at the interface of chemistry, materials science, and artificial intelligence.
