Professor

Dr. Guru Prasad M S is a passionate academician, researcher, and educator in Computer Science and Engineering with over 16 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration. He is currently working as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru.

He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. His doctoral research focused on improving the efficiency and performance of Big Data processing frameworks. He also earned his M.Tech. and B.E. degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from VTU, Belagavi.

His areas of research interest include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, Explainable AI, and Multimodal AI. Dr. Guru Prasad has made significant research contributions with more than 120 Scopus-indexed publications and H-indices of 17 (Scopus) and 18 (Google Scholar). He has been granted 2 Indian Utility Patents, and 6 additional Indian Patents have been published. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and an ACM member, actively contributing to academic and professional communities.

Dr. Guru Prasad has organized and chaired several international conferences and symposiums funded by organizations such as SERB and other international research bodies. He has also delivered keynote talks, invited lectures, and workshops on Big Data Analytics, Hadoop Ecosystems, Artificial Intelligence, and emerging computational technologies at reputed institutions across India. He is an Editorial Board Member of The International Journal of Mathematical, Engineering and Management Sciences (IJMEMS), a Q2-indexed journal.
