Dr. Narasimha S.N.

Assistant Professor

Dr. Narasimha S.N. is a distinguished Kannada academician with over 26 years of teaching experience, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Kannada at the School of Commerce and Management Studies (SCMS), Dayananda Sagar University. He holds a B.A., B.Ed., M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. in Kannada, and is widely recognized for his expertise in Kannada Comparative Literature. His research focuses on comparative literary studies, particularly the works of Bertolt Brecht and Kannada playwrights.

He has published several research papers in reputed journals and has actively participated in numerous national and international conferences in the field of Kannada literature. He has also contributed a book chapter on Bharatamu.

Dr. Narasimha S.N. has received several prestigious awards, including the Kannada Rajarajeshwari Prashasti (2018), Rajarajeshwari Ratna (2023), Vidya Soudha Ratna Award (2023), and a distinguished recognition from AGS Educational Society (2026).

In addition to his academic contributions, he serves as the Head of the Discipline Committee and is an active member of the Cultural Committee and IKS Committee at the university. He has also participated in Faculty Development Programmes focusing on case study writing, advanced research tools, and AI in education, demonstrating his commitment to continuous professional development.
