Dr. Owais Ahmad Shah

Associate Professor

Dr. Owais Ahmad Shah holds a Ph.D. in Engineering with specialization in Low-Power VLSI Design. He obtained his Master of Technology in VLSI Design from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, India, and earned his Bachelor of Technology in Electronics & Communication Engineering from the same university. With over 14 years of academic and research experience, Dr. Shah has established himself in the field of VLSI design, semiconductor technologies, and emerging nanoelectronic devices. His research focuses on low-power and low-voltage VLSI circuit design, synchronous digital systems, embedded memory circuits, SPICE modeling, and emerging nanoelectronic devices such as Carbon Nanotube Field-Effect Transistors (CNTFETs) and Graphene Nanoribbon Field-Effect Transistors (GNRFETs). His work is dedicated to developing high-performance, energy-efficient, and reliable electronic systems that address evolving industrial and societal challenges.

An active researcher and innovator, Dr. Shah has published more than 75 research papers in reputed international journals and conferences, including SCI and Scopus-indexed publications. He is also the author of two books, holds two patents, and has one registered design, reflecting his significant contributions to research, innovation, and intellectual property development.

Dr. Shah's current research explores next-generation sequential circuit architectures using CNTFET and GNRFET technologies, aiming to develop VLSI systems that extend beyond conventional CMOS technology. His research integrates theoretical modeling, advanced simulation methodologies, and SPICE-based EDA tools to optimize circuit performance, power efficiency, and reliability. Dr. Shah remains committed to advancing VLSI research, mentoring students and researchers, and contributing to the development of sustainable, next-generation semiconductor technologies through academic excellence and interdisciplinary collaboration.
