Prof. Pancham Sharma is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning) at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. He holds a Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence ) from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Hamirpur, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science and Engineering from Birla Institute of Applied Sciences. His research interests lie in deep learning, computer vision, and multi-modal image fusion. His M.Tech dissertation, proposed an end-to-end deep learning framework for infrared-visible image fusion, focused on building a smarter way to merge infrared and visible-light images so the final picture keeps the heat/thermal information from the infrared side along with the sharp detail and texture from the regular camera side.. He has experience in designing and training dual-stream deep neural architectures for multi-modal vision tasks and is keen to extend this work toward research and industry-oriented problems in AI.
