Mr. Pradeep Kumar K

Assistant Professor

Pradeep Kumar K iscurrently serving as Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning). He is an accomplished academician, researcher, and innovation-driven educator with over 14 years of teaching experience and interdisciplinary expertise spanning Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and advanced engineering systems. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of CSE (AI & ML) at Dayananda Sagar University, he actively contributes to research, academic leadership, and technology-driven student development initiatives.

He holds an M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University and a B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering. He is presently pursuing his Ph.D., with research interests centered on Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing (NLP), AI in Healthcare, Deep Learning, Wireless Communication Systems, IoT, Embedded Systems, FPGA-based design, and RF & Microwave Engineering.

Pradeep has an impressive research portfolio comprising few international journal publications, multiple IEEE conference papers, Springer and Taylor & Francis book chapters, and a Q1-ranked journal publication in Results in Engineering (Elsevier). His work spans medical AI diagnostics, computer vision, edge computing, rover systems, intelligent transport systems, cybersecurity, and signal processing. He has also authored a Springer Lecture Notes book chapter and holds a published patent titled “Portable Multimodal Health Diagnostic Pad” (2025). His research impact is reflected through citations indexed in Google Scholar, Scopus, Web of Science, and ResearchGate, with a steadily growing h-index.

He has successfully secured competitive research grants and seed funding, including institutional seed grants for AI-based ECG reconstruction and digital stethoscope systems for cardiovascular disease detection, funding support for rover design and international competitions, and grants for smart waste management and GPS-GSM-based border alert systems.

Internationally, he has served as an organizer for an Intercontinental 30-Hour Innovo Quest Hackathon in collaboration with LeTourneau University and coordinated academic workshops in partnership with Mendel University in Brno. He has delivered invited lectures and Faculty Development Programs on Generative AI, Robotics Simulation, LaTeX Documentation, Mobile Application Development, and Emerging AI Technologies across reputed institutions.

Pradeep also contributes as a reviewer for international conferences and journals. His academic leadership roles include Board of Studies Coordinator (Internal), NAAC Coordinator (Internal), Coding Club In-charge. He has been instrumental in organizing hackathons, internships, project expos, and student innovation initiatives.

With strong technical proficiency in Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, Python, Embedded Systems, Xilinx-ISE, LabVIEW, HFSS ANSYS, COMSOL, Software Defined Radios, Arduino platforms, LaTeX, and simulation tools, he integrates industry-relevant technologies into classroom and research ecosystems.

Driven by a commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and societal impact through AI-enabled solutions—particularly in healthcare and intelligent systems—Pradeep Kumar K continues to mentor students, lead funded research projects, and contribute meaningfully to interdisciplinary technological advancements at national and international levels.
