Dr. Rajchandar K is a distinguished academician, researcher, innovator, and technology leader with over 16 years of professional experience, including more than 11 years of teaching and 5 years of full-time research at Anna University. His career reflects a strong commitment to advancing Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, autonomous technologies, and interdisciplinary research.
Dr. Rajchandar K earned his Ph.D. in Robotics from the prestigious College of Engineering, Guindy (CEG), Anna University, as a full-time scholar, where his doctoral research focused on intelligent multi-robot systems, autonomous navigation, path planning, and optimization algorithms for next-generation robotic applications. He also holds an M.E. in Industrial Engineering, which strengthened his expertise in systems engineering, optimization, manufacturing intelligence, and operational excellence. Further complementing his technical background, he earned an M.B.A. in Production and Operations Management, equipping him with strategic capabilities in technology management, innovation leadership, project management, and organizational decision-making. He completed his B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering, providing a strong foundation in algorithms, software engineering, data structures, networking, and intelligent computing. This distinctive combination of Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Management, and Robotics enables him to seamlessly integrate Artificial Intelligence research with real-world engineering systems, autonomous technologies, and Industry 5.0 applications.
Dr. Rajchandar's research expertise encompasses Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Robotics, Autonomous Systems, Drone Navigation, Natural Language Processing, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Healthcare AI, and Edge AI, with a rapidly expanding focus on Intelligent Robotics, Human-Robot Collaboration, AI-driven Autonomous Systems, Multi-Agent Intelligence, Reinforcement Learning, and Industry 5.0 technologies. Throughout his academic career, Dr. Rajchandar K has demonstrated excellence in undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral education by delivering advanced courses, mentoring research scholars, supervising innovative projects, and contributing to curriculum development aligned with global AI and Robotics standards. A prolific researcher, Dr. Rajchandar K has authored 50+ Scopus-indexed publications, including 18 Web of Science-indexed articles, several high-impact SCI journal papers, 6–8 book chapters, and 20+ international conference publications. He also holds 20+ published Indian patents in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and intelligent engineering systems. His scholarly contributions span autonomous robotics, computer vision, healthcare AI, intelligent transportation, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and natural language processing, receiving recognition through citations, interdisciplinary collaborations, and international research engagements.
As an active doctoral supervisor, Dr. Rajchandar K has been guiding multiple Ph.D. scholars in emerging domains including Robot Navigation, Drone Navigation, and Natural Language Processing, while mentoring numerous undergraduate and postgraduate research projects. His students have successfully published in reputed international journals and conferences and have actively participated in national hackathons, innovation challenges, and technology competitions.
Dr. Rajchandar K also serves as a reviewer for internationally reputed journals and is a Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE).
