Professor of Practice

Dr. Rajesh Agarwal is a Global IT Leader with a proven track record excelling in Customer Relationships, Strategic Planning, IT Infrastructure, Service Delivery, Digital Transformation, Cloud Services, and Data Centre. Over 30 years of extensive IT Leadership and Delivery experience across the globe including 13 years in the USA, Australia, and the UK. He currently serves as the Professor of Practice in the Department of CSE, Dayananda Sagar University (DSU), Bangalore.

As Professor of Practice in the Department of CSE, he contributes to the vision of the university on teaching, sharing his global experience with the students, and preparing them for corporate challenges. Earlier, he served as Director–IT Service Delivery (Consultant) at Tata Consultancy Services from 1997 to 2025. He served as Scientist/ Engineer ‘SC’ at National Informatics Centre, Delhi, India between 1996 and 1997. He was a Lecturer at Computer Engineering department, Shri G S Institute of Technology and Science, Indore, India from 1993 to 1996.

He obtained his Ph.D. in IT Management (Cloud Services) from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, India, Master of Business Administration from Indira Gandhi National Open University, Delhi, India, and Master of Engineering (Computer Engineering) from Shri G S Institute of Technology and Science, Indore, India.

His interest areas include IT Infrastructure, Data Centre, IT Service Management, Cloud Services, and DBMS Technologies.
