Dr. Saniya Suhail is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. She completed her Ph.D. in Mathematics from Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, in August 2025, with research focused on wave dynamics and propagation in the presence of floating structures: Journey from inviscid to viscid fluid. She has academic and teaching experience as a Teaching cum Research Assistant at VIT Vellore, where she taught Engineering Mathematics, Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra and Complex Analysis, and conducted MATLAB-based software and laboratory sessions. Her research expertise includes water wave propagation, viscous and inviscid fluids, porous media, wave-structure interaction, wave blocking and trapping. She has published research articles in international journals including Ocean Engineering, Physics of Fluids, Marine Structures, and Journal of Fluids and Structures and many more. She has completed a 3 months internship with fellowship from National Taiwan Ocean University, Taiwan.
