Dr. Santosh S. Bagewadi is an academician and researcher in Mechanical Engineering with interdisciplinary experience of more than 12 years spanning additive manufacturing, advanced materials, composite structures, auxetic and lattice architectures, automation, robotics, and engineering simulation. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru, where he is engaged in teaching and research activities. His professional experience also includes teaching, laboratory and design/prototyping responsibilities, academic coordination, and technical event organization.

He completed his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, with doctoral research on “Structural Investigation of Additive Manufactured Gradient Polymer Matrix Composite.” His research work has focused strongly on the mechanical and structural performance of additively manufactured materials and architected structures, including gradient auxetic structures, hybrid auxetic structures, lattice structures, sandwich structures, and polymer-matrix composites.
