Dr. Srimanta Maji
Assistant Professor
Dr. Srimanta Maji is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar University (DSU), Bengaluru since August 2023. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai. He has more than eight years of teaching experience at reputed government and private institutions with A++ and A+ grades. Prior to joining DSU, he served as an Assistant Professor at ICT, Mumbai–Marathwada Campus for two years. During his tenure at ICT, he taught Engineering Mathematics and conducted computer laboratory courses involving Python and R for statistical simulation, as well as Processing Simulation Lab (PSL) courses for Integrated M.Tech. Chemical Engineering students. He also guided two Integrated M.Tech. students in their in-plant training projects.
His research interests include Numerical Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow, Simulation of Turbulent flows, Optimization techniques, Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) and Statistical Simulation. Dr. Maji has published eight research papers and one book chapter in Scopus/SCI-indexed journals, along with one conference publication. He is actively interested in fostering research collaborations and interdisciplinary projects and also inspire students to pursue academic excellence, innovative projects, and research.
