Umesh Kumar Singh is an academician and researcher with interests in Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Agentic AI, Parallel Computing, and Robotics.

He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of AI and Robotics Engineering at Dayananda Sagar University, Bengaluru. He has completed his Master of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering from Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata.

His M.Tech research focused on "Monocular Bootstrapping for Unsupervised Panoptic Segmentation." The research explored how computer vision models can learn semantic and instance segmentation without using manually labelled training data. His work used vision foundation models, monocular depth estimation, semantic clustering, pseudo-label generation, and teacher-student self-training. The developed system was evaluated on Cityscapes and several other datasets, including MOTS, Mapillary Vistas, KITTI, and COCO-Stuff.

Apart from computer vision, he works on secure infrastructure for Agentic AI and multi-agent systems. He developed Claude Context Reducer, an MCP-based system that provides persistent memory, reusable strategy playbooks, and a sandboxed Python environment for AI agents. He also developed Claude MPI, a secure communication middleware that allows multiple AI agents to exchange information through encrypted real-time communication.

His technical interests also include Deep Learning, Generative AI, Distributed Systems and Robotics. His teaching and research interests are centred on helping students understand artificial intelligence through practical implementation, experimentation, and research-oriented projects.
