Mr. V. Venkateshwaran
Assistant Professor
Mr. V. Venkateshwaran has submitted his Ph.D. thesis in Mechanical Engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Vellore, with research focused on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), high-speed aerodynamics, and scramjet propulsion systems. He obtained his Master’s degree in Thermal Engineering and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He possesses over four years of teaching experience and more than three years of research experience, with expertise in numerical modelling, turbulence, combustion, and aerospace propulsion.
His doctoral research focuses on the numerical investigation and optimization of injector and cavity-based combustion enhancement strategies in scramjet combustors, contributing to the advancement of hypersonic air-breathing propulsion technologies. His research encompasses high-speed reacting flows, turbulence modelling, combustion physics, heat transfer, and numerical optimization using advanced CFD techniques. He has extensive experience with Simulation (Ansys Fluent), Meshing (ICEM CFD) and other computational engineering tools for the analysis and design of complex thermal-fluid systems.
Mr. Venkateshwaran has published research papers in reputed national and international journals and conference proceedings. He serves as a reviewer for reputed international journals, contributing to the peer-review process and supporting the dissemination of high- quality scientific research. His research has been recognized with the Best Oral Presentation Award at the Global Conference on Design and Innovation (GCDI’25) held at NIT Calicut. His research interests include Computational Fluid Dynamics, Hypersonic and Scramjet Propulsion, High-Speed Aerodynamics, Turbulence and Combustion Modelling, Heat Transfer, Aerospace Propulsion Systems, and Multidisciplinary Design Optimization.
