Overview:
The Department of Chemistry is one of the key basic science departments in the School of Engineering at Dayananda Sagar University. The department comprises highly qualified faculty members with Ph.D. degrees and postdoctoral research experience from reputed institutions in India and abroad, including IISc, IITs, NITs, IISERs, and leading central universities.
The department primarily caters to first-year B.Tech students and also offers open electives for third- and fourth-year B.Tech programs. In addition, it offers a well-structured Doctoral (Ph.D.) program with attractive fellowships. The department is well-equipped with modern laboratories and advanced instrumentation, including access to NVIDIA DGX systems for high-performance AI and deep learning, to support high-quality teaching, hands-on laboratory training, and cutting-edge research.
