CSE & Artificial Intelligence
About Department
The B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence) is a four-year undergraduate programme that builds a strong foundation in core computer science programming, data structures, databases, computer architecture, and networks , progressively specializes into Artificial Intelligence, covering Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Generative AI, Multi-Agent and Agentic AI Systems, Robotics, and MLOps. The curriculum blends classroom learning with hands-on design studios, industry-driven mini and capstone projects, internships, and electives in emerging areas such as LLM-based agent frameworks, edge AI, cognitive robotics, and AI in cybersecurity. Courses on AI Ethics, Responsible AI & Policy, and Entrepreneurial Finance for AI-driven Startups ensure graduates are not only technically skilled but also responsible, industry-ready, and innovation-oriented professionals prepared to build intelligent systems for real-world impact.
This programme shapes students for the future by:
- Keeping pace with cutting-edge technology — students learn and work with the latest tools and trends shaping the AI industry today, including Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI systems, and Edge AI, ensuring their skills remain current and industry-relevant.
- Building continuous, future-ready skill enhancement — dedicated Skill Enhancement Courses and Cognitive & Technical Skills modules run across every semester, helping students steadily upgrade their technical and professional capabilities year on year.
- Encouraging hands-on, real-world exposure — through design studios, mini projects, capstone projects, and internships with industry, startups, and research centres, students apply AI concepts to solve genuine problems rather than learning in theory alone.
- Opening pathways to innovation and entrepreneurship — with dedicated coursework on AI-driven startups and design thinking, students are equipped to not just use AI, but to create and lead new AI-powered ventures.
- Preparing globally competent, responsible professionals — a strong emphasis on ethics, safety, and governance of AI ensures graduates are ready to apply emerging technologies responsibly in any industry, anywhere in the world.
