Welcome to the Department of Mathematics, School of Engineering at Dayananda Sagar University!
Mathematics serves as the cornerstone of engineering, computing, data science, and artificial intelligence. As Dayananda Sagar University advances toward its vision of becoming an AI-First University, our department is dedicated to providing the core Mathematical and computational foundations required to drive next-generation AI technologies. Our academic philosophy goes beyond theory and traditional techniques. We cultivate analytical reasoning, Mathematical thinking, and computational intelligence, enabling students to construct solutions for real-world challenges. By integrating Mathematics with artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, optimization, and numerical modelling, our curriculum prepares students for the forefront of emerging technologies.
We embrace an active, experiential, and AI-enabled teaching-learning environment. Through project-based learning, computational laboratories, research exposure, and interdisciplinary collaborations, students acquire the practical skills and confidence needed to excel as industry professionals, researchers, and innovators.
