The Dolus Clause Event

Capital Crew – Finance Club, School of Commerce and Management Studies-UG (BBA & B.Com) successfully conducted The Dolus Clause, a two-stage academic finance competition on 26 February 2026, engaging students from BBA and B.Com programs in applying finance concepts through practical simulations and investigative analysis.

Stage 1: Financial Budget Allocation Simulation tested participants’ financial planning and resource management skills.

Stage 2: Corporate Forensic & Governance Investigation challenged teams to analyze financial and operational data to detect internal corporate misconduct.

The event strengthened students’ competencies in financial decision-making, risk management, forensic analysis, and corporate governance.

Guest Lecture by Dr. Denis Hyams-Ssekasi from the University of Greater Manchester

The School of Commerce and Management Studies-UG, Dayananda Sagar University, had the privilege of hosting Dr. Denis Hyams-Ssekasi from the University of Greater Manchester for a series of insightful academic sessions.

Dr. Denis delivered two engaging sessions for students of the BBA and B.Com programmes on Leadership Theories and Entrepreneurial Mindset and Business Creation. The sessions provided valuable global perspectives, practical insights, and real world examples that helped students develop a deeper understanding of leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the contemporary business environment.

The sessions were highly interactive and encouraged meaningful discussions, enabling students to connect theoretical concepts with practical applications and reflect on their potential as future leaders and entrepreneurs.

Traffic Awareness Rally conducted by SCMS-UG

The School of Commerce and Management Studies – UG, Dayananda Sagar University, conducted a Traffic Awareness Rally near Kudlu Gate, Bangalore, to spread awareness about road safety and responsible driving. The rally highlighted the importance of following traffic rules such as wearing helmets and seat belts, avoiding mobile phone usage while driving, obeying traffic signals, and respecting pedestrians.

Through placards, slogans, and public interaction, students created awareness among commuters, pedestrians, and the local community about safe road behaviour. The activity also encouraged teamwork, social responsibility, and active civic participation among the volunteers while promoting safer road practices in the community.
